The James Maddison saga continues. In one of this summer's biggest rumor mill, a new report by British outlet The Guardian now claims that Maddison would be open to a move to London under Mikel Arteta.

This is just the latest in a sea of often conflicting reports about the midfielder, as just yesterday it was claimed that Maddison was happy at Leicester and would stay with the Foxes. Now it seems that he would not be against a move to the Gunners; Arsenal, in fact are looking to add more creativity in the midfield and final third of the pitch, and were looking for a deal with Real Madrid for Martin Odegaard but it seems that is unlikely to happen at this stage. That would be why they are now targeting Maddison, but it is uncertain whether Leicester would be willing to let him go, with the player who still has three years left on his deal.

The Foxes asking price is rumored to be pretty steep anyhow, as they are reportedly asking for at least 60M GBP, and Arsenal have already spent 73M GBP. The London side could try to lower the fee by offering players in exchange, although it is not clear at this stage who those could be.
