West Ham United have registered their interest in a winter move for Arsenal centre-forward Alexandre Lacazette, and the striker may be tempted to remain in London.

The report adds that discussions between the Gunners board and France international’s representatives have already taken place, but still no deal extension has been offered yet, which means that the negotiation have stalled.

Furthermore, neither Arsenal nor Lacazette’s side looks willing to find an agreement that would inevitably result in parting ways soon.

The departure may happen as early as in the upcoming winter transfer window when the Gunners will still be able to fetch a modest amount for their asset, but a summer exit on a Bosman is the likely possibility as it would provide Alexandre with multiple choices and ultimate bargaining power.

The 30-year-old striker will be eligible to sign a pre-contract deal with a foreign team as soon as he enters the last six months of his deal expiring in winter, and it’s believed that the centre-forward has no shortage of admirers with interest from many teams around the continent.

The Hammers, meanwhile, will look to take the benefit of the situation. The Irons are missing a quality competition and back-up to Michail Antonio. The French striker would represent an impressive signing to David Moyes’ uprising team.

His hold-up play and the way Lacazette combines with on-rushing attackers make him an ideal foil for Michael Antonio at West Ham United.
