In a press conference with Mexican media earlier today, Leon's President Jesus Martinez Murguia officially introduced Ariel Holan as the club's new manager. In a statement he declared: "Today is a very important day for the future of our club, as we are officially introducing our new manager. We've had many talks in the past few days with the rest of the brass and fortunately we were all in agreement on what we were looking for for our club. We need to maintain the same offensive philosophy, the same DNA that has made Leon a protagonist in the league"
The Argentine skipper expressed his enthusiasm for the new challenge, and when asked about the transfer market plans for the team, he did not delve into any specifics but did admit he would like to reunite with Emanuel Gigliotti, whom he had at Independiente in Argentina when he was managing there:
"We analyzed multiple options, we are still in that process, we'll have more talks in the next few days; we'll make decisions that will make the club as competitive as can be. Emanuel [Gigliotti] is a player I know well and I am excited to be able to manage him again"
