After unveiling the collector's jersey in his homage, AS Saint-Etienne announced the withdrawal of number 24, belonging for 16 seasons to its former central defender and captain Loïc Perrin, like the American franchises. The player retired in the summer of 2020 will have played 470 games with the Greens, scoring 30 goals and 15 assists.
“Today the club have decided to remove this number from their dressing room. It will not be worn by any other AS Saint-Étienne player. He will remain the number 24 of our emblematic captain, ” announced the club on its social media accounts.
