LIGA - Xavi reveals: "I rejected Barcelona's bench twice"
Former Barcelona’s midfielder Xavi Hernandez, now Al-Sadd coach, admits he rejected twice the chance to train the Blaugrana team:
"Unfortunately or fortunately, I said no to Barcelona twice, due to family, professional or contractual circumstances - he said - I must admit that it was very difficult because I am a culé fan, but it was not the time".
"I didn't go there to talk to Barcelona firstly because there is a coach, Koeman, and you have to respect him, and then because I'm in no hurry to coach the club."
Meanwhile, Koeman has been confirmed at the helm of Barça. "What will be will be, the offers we receive will be evaluated and we will decide accordingly - Xavi says about his future - and then I think of her as Xabi Alonso who says he wants to be a coach in his way, proceeding step by step".
